Delaney Turns 11

It's time again for yet another birthday interview. Today marks Delaney's 11th trip around the sun. Delaney is our middle child and she sure does live up to the standard of middle children. She is our free spirit, biggest lover, most caring, and most creative child. She is also the biggest helper around the house. It has been a lot of fun watching her grow and mature and develop her own ideas and beliefs. She doesn't have it all that easy either. She is stuck in the shadow of her older, taller, sister and fighting for time and attention with her younger sister. She has grown into a tough little girl and learning to just be herself. Happy Birthday DJ!

Maya Turns 12

Well, we got this in just in the nick of time. Which isn't necessarily a surprise considering that the reason we are so damn busy 90% of the time is because of Maya. And yes, she if finally 12. I say this because it feels like for the longest time, I have always viewed her as older than she is. Maybe it's her maturity. Maybe it's her size (height). Maybe it's that I'm getting older and have two younger daughters and am just losing my mind. Maybe it's just me. But I will say for the past few years, I have seemed to always incorrectly state her age. So for the first time in writing these birthday questionnaires, I can finally say, I CAN actually believe she's 12.

Harper Turns 7

And here we are again. Another of my daughter's is having a birthday. Our youngest is turning 7. Harper is growing out of her kid stage and turning into a young girl. Its pretty crazy to watch, especially with her being our youngest. Part of you wants her to just stay young and innocent forever, while the other side of you wants her to grow up and watch her grow. Its strange, hard to explain I guess. Not that I want to even consider wishing away time. These interviews have become a tradition in our family that we all look forward to. Some day, it will be real fun to look back at all the past years and see how they change.

Here are Harper's previous interviews:
