Delaney Turns 7

Sarah and I both look forward to these interviews each year with each kid.  Not only to chuckle and laugh at some of their answers, but to compare their answers from past years to see what has changed and what has stayed the same.  It is also a subtle reminder of how fast life passes by.  It feels like just yesterday that Sarah and I were in high school, graduating collage, getting married, and now here we are, with three daughters.  Wow, its just crazy.  It makes you really just sit back and cherish the memories and enjoy every moment. 

 

Delaney is now officially 7 and is becoming her own person.  She is the most caring and open minded little girl I know.  She has a heart of gold and a spunk that is second to none.  This year she started playing coach pitch softball and is the youngest girl on her team, not to mention the smallest.  This year, we spent her birthday in Wisconsin Dells at Noah's Ark and did her interview before bed on our patio, which is pretty evident in some of her answers in this years interview.  Here are her previous years interviews for comparison.

And here we are again, another year has gone by in the life of Delaney.  She is now 6 years old.  😲  Seriously, where is time going.  Not only does that mean that my little Laney Cakes is 6 years old and going into 1st grade this fall, but it also means I am just that much older...  Regardless of how fast time as a parent goes by, I look forward to these questionnaires every year.  They are so fun... and for a point of reference, here are Delaney's past Birthday Questionnaires.

Delaney Turns 4

I am almost positive I say it every year, with every birthday, but I can't believe Delaney is already 4.  This year is a special birthday for me.  It is the first year that I am off of work, not only on her birthday, but the days before and after it.  Normally, I am stuck working Country USA, which always falls on her birthday.  I have always felt guilty working on her birthday, but never more will I have to work out at Country USA.  In fact, Delaney was even born during the festival, which pulled me away from the festival that night.  Delaney is the most selfless, caring, and passionate little girls I know.  She is a spunky, quirky, and energetic kid, who simply loves the art of music, dance, and acting.  It never ceases to amaze me how many songs this kid knows all the words to and how she can act out entire scenes from movies with ease.  She is truly one of a kind!
